White Wine Orange Crab Pappardelle
Try this tasty dish using our Egg Pappardelle. SKU# 15106
Ingredients
- 2-3 Pappardelle Nests 15106
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- ½ Jalapeno
- 1 Small Shallot
- ¼ Cup Crab Meat cooked
- ⅓ Cup White Wine
- 1 Orange (zest & juice)
- Parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Finely chop shallot and jalapeno. Juice the orange. Zest about 1 tsp of the orange zest. Set aside.
- Heat olive oil on medium heat. Saute shallot and jalapeno.
- Reduce to medium-low heat and add the crab meat.
- While the crab meat heats up, bring pasta water to a boil in a large pot.
- Add the orange juice, zest and white wine to the pan with the crab. Bring to a low simmer.
- Once the pasta water is boiling add the Pappardelle nests and cook about 1-1½ minutes. Drain.
- Add the Pappardelle to the crab mixture and toss for a minute or so until well incorporated.
- To plate, use tongs to place on plate. Top with fresh chopped parsley and additional orange zest.
Notes
- Add crushed red pepper to make even spicier and add some color.
