Breaded Fried Tortellini with Marinara Sauce
Tasty, Easy Appetizer worth trying. SKU 81701, 55020
Ingredients
- 16 oz Cheese Tortellini 81701
- 1 Cup Flour
- 1 Cup Water
- 2 Cups Seasoned Panko Breadcrumbs
- ½ Cup Parmesan Cheese
- ½ Cup Marinara 55020
Instructions
- Gather and prepare ingredients. Heat fryer to 350F.
- In a bowl, combine water and flour, adding more or less to get to a thin pancake batter consistency. Enough that the batter runs smoothly and can coat but not too thick.
- In a separate bowl, combine the cheese and seasoned breadcrumbs.
- Tortellini can be frozen or slightly thawed, they do not need to be cooked in advance.
- Toss tortellini in batter and allow to drain lightly, quickly moving to the breadcrumbs. The breadcrumbs should stick and coat the tortellini evenly and not fall off. Set aside, doing this in several small batches is easiest.
- Once all coated and fryer oil reaches 350F, fry all tortellini until breading is golden brown, about 3 minutes.
- To plate, pile tortellini high on a plate and sprinkle additional cheese over top. Serve with Joseph’s Marinara sauce or any other of your favorite JGP sauce! Enjoy.
Notes
- Serve with alfredo, basil pesto, sundried tomato pesto or any combination.
- This also works with any Sacchetti or Tortelloni.
